“ I had heard about this place in Orillia from friends who swear by it. So after going last night all I will say is this - go. Go tonight or tomorrow but just go. We had calamari as an app. Meatballs and Spaghetti and a Swer chili pizza for dinner. When you sit down you can see the chefs making pasta - actually making it and the wood fired pizza oven on the kitchen. The food was spectacular but the spicy sweet pizza was something else. I’m super picky as I like to cook myself but this is a 100% Go Back To spot. It was fantastic. The chefs are apparently from the Rome area and it’s plainly obvious they know what they are doing. There is spot outside to sit or inside - either is great. Lots of space between tables so you won’t feel cramped with a rustic italian vibe. Highly recommended! Make reservations - this place is busy every day I’m told and I can believe it. ”
“ Went here for dinner with my gf while watching the Christmas parade. We got seated pretty quickly even though it was relatively busy inside. Our server was very knowledgeable on the menu and gave us great recommendations for food and drinks. He got our drinks out for us right away and even though the food took a while to get to us it was well worth the wait because it was immaculate from start to finish. Definitely a place to add to your list if you’re in this area because you will definitely have an amazing dining experience! ”
“ My partner and I are visiting from out of town and we visited Rustica Pizza Vino for the first time and we were blown away. The ambience was great, our server Mike was friendly, attentive & knowledgeable & the food was top notch! So glad we were able to have this experience and if we find ourselves back in Orillia, we will be back ”
“ We had a private event at Rustica and had the absolute best time. Mike was the coordinator for the event and was so helpful, knowledgeable and organized for the entire planning & execution process. Every one of our guests commented how amazing the service was and how good the food was. The ambiance was perfect. They exceeded our expectations. Thank you Mike & Rustica team we will be doing that again!!!! ”
“ Tried for the first time and really enjoyed! We made reservations about 3 weeks in advance (every table was reserved when we arrived so definitely make a reservation. We came on a Wednesday evening). We ordered the arancini to start which comes with three, very tasty. I ordered the burrata pomodoro and added the chilli infused honey which was delicious. For a cocktail, split appetizer, and pizza it came out to 55. I’d definitely come back to try other things on the menu. ”
“ We spent a week in Orillia and ate here 3 times because it was SO good!! Everything we tried was outstanding, flavorful, prepared to perfection, the cocktails, the balloon bread, salad, pizza, bronzino, what a gem in this little tiny town. ”
“ There’s a reason this spot is always bustling! The wood fired pizza is outstanding! perfectly chewy, with a crust that's both flavorful and satisfying. I wish I could recreate it at home. The lasagna was another highlight... packed with gooey cheese, crispy on top, and generously drenched in a rich tomato sauce. However, the salad was a real letdown. It had an overpowering vinegar taste with little else to balance it out, making it tough to enjoy. Despite that, the rest of the meal was a winner! ”
“ Super cute outdoor garden patio. Trendy yet rustic inside. Hands down the best Italian food I have ever had. Staff was friendly and helpful. Make sure you have a reservation as it’s a very busy spot. Close to shopping and not far from the docks to have a walk along the lake after dinner. Wine and beer is simple selection but very tasteful. We had the Battered zucchini it was cooked to perfection. The homemade Gnocchi was rich and flavourful. The chicken Parmesan pasta was full of authentic flavours. The wood oven pizza smelled and looked amazing. A must eat here hidden gem! We can’t wait to go back and try more dishes. ”
